Ganpatipule-Ratnagiri


Ganapatipule is a popular for the worshipers of the god "Ganesh" the another name of Shri Ganapati. The beautiful 400 years old temple of god Ganesh is on the beach itself. The most interesting places here for the marathi language loving peaple is Malgund, the birthplace of Keshavsoot, the famous Marathi poet; Ratnagiri and the birthplace of great freedom fighter "Lokmanya Tilak". The Thebaw Palace, where the deposed King of Burma was confined by then British rulers in India and the Jaigad Fort are another places of interest.

Boardi beach-Dahanu


Bordi in Taluka- Dahanu, District-Thane is with 17 kms vast stretch of very peaceful beach. Udwada, the Mecca of the Zoroastrians, is accessible from Dahanu. The magnificent Mahalaxmi temple and the house of the sacred fire of the Zoroastrians are the main attractions here. The fact though difficult to be believed that this holy fire has been kept alive for almost thousand years.

Mandva Kihim beach-Maharashtra


The divine Mandwa beach is twelve miles north of Alibag, dist. Raigad, Maharashtra with long stretch of palm groves, and overwhelming tranquillity. The twin beach of Mandva is Kihim which is equally ideal beach. The other interesting sites here are the Colaba Fort near the shore, Buddhist caves, a synagogue. and a temple.

Murud Janjira beach-Maharashtra


The former capital of the Siddis of Janjira- Murud is famous for its enchanting beach with huge stretches of coconut and palm-groves and fascinating Janjira fort.The more than three centuries old fort of Janjira though in Maharashtra was in its time could never be conquered by Maratha rulers in Maharashtra. It is a marvellous piece of architecture. A few kilometres away are two very nice but very little known beaches Nandgaon and Kashid. The palace of the Nawab and the Janjira caves are interested places here.

Gorai beach-Mumbai


GORAI Beach is at the northmost end of Mumbai. It is at Borivali (west). The best mode of transport for going to Gorai is the ferry boat. You can take the ferry from Gorai creek (Borivali West). After crossing the creek, Gorai is just 4 kilometres away where you can reach either walking or by auto rikshaw or by State transport bus.

Versova beach-Mumbai


Versova Beach is among the popular beaches in Mumbai city. It is situated towards the north of Juhu Beach and considered as an extension of Juhu beach with a creek separating them from one to other.The entire Versova Beach gets submerged under water during high tide. Girgaum beach-Mumbai


Girgaum beach is famous in Mumbai as Girgaum Chawpati which is adjoining to Malabar Hill, Girgaum, Gamdevi and Khetwadi at the northern end of Marine Drive. It has array of food stalls selling chats, ice-golas, bhel, kulfi etc. The Chowpatty sea face has both residential and commercial buildings. Though the beach remains empty throughout the day, it is crowded in the evening. The beach is in the heart of Mumbai and it is the witness of great historical events of freedom movement and struggle happened on the beach itself.

Juhu beach-Mumbai


Juhu beach is located 18 kms north of Mumbai city. It is one of the Indian major beaches on the shores of Arabian Sea and is one the largest and frequently visited one. It is surrounded by the posh bungalows of the famous film personalities of Bollywood. It is one of the most crowded beaches in India. Vendors are found everwhere on the beach shouting for inviting attention for selling the goods mostly edibles.
